Some journeys are measured in kilometres. This one is measured in stories.
Far beyond crowded viewpoints and checklists lies a valley that has always rewarded those willing to wander. Snow-covered mountain passes. Turquoise rivers carving through ancient landscapes. Villages where time moves with the sun. Monasteries older than empires. Night skies so clear they remind you how small, and how fortunate, we truly are.
Welcome to Spiti Valley.
For eight days, there is no schedule to chase and no attractions to tick off. There is only curiosity.
Perhaps you’ll spend the morning sharing butter tea with a family in a forgotten village. Perhaps you’ll follow an old shepherd’s trail to a place that never appears on Google Maps. You might lose track of time listening to monks speak about Buddhism, sit beside an Amchi learning the wisdom of Himalayan medicine, help local farmers in their fields, or simply stop because the light over the mountains asks you to.
The destination is Spiti.
The journey belongs to the people travelling through it.
Leading this expedition is Abhinav Chandel (@AbhiandNow), one of India’s most celebrated storytellers, photographers and writers. A former city dweller who chose the mountains over everything else, Abhinav has spent years discovering hidden corners of the Himalayas and sharing their stories through his words and photographs.
In 2016, Abhinav Chandel and Spiti Holiday Adventure came together to create something that had never been attempted before. A journey without a fixed itinerary. A small group of explorers. One valley. Endless possibilities.
What began as an experiment became a tradition. Now, as we welcome the 8th Edition, the philosophy remains unchanged.
No fixed plan. No rush. No ordinary sightseeing.
Only a small community of curious travellers following instinct instead of schedules, conversations instead of crowds, and stories instead of destinations.
Because the finest moments in the mountains are rarely planned.
They are discovered.
If you’ve ever felt that the wilderness was calling your name, perhaps this is the year you finally answer.

Do yourself a big favour and visit Spiti Valley using this company. The whole team is extremely professional and just a lovely bunch! We did 78day jeep ride which provided a great itinerary to see a lot of what this amazing place has to offer. Spiti Valley is a once in a lifetime experience and totally worth the effort to go!

Thank you for an amazing "Spiti" experience. This was one of the well arranged and managed travel experience that I have been part of. Still missing the hospitality of all the people who hosted us at all places be it Khansar at kaza, Home-stay at Kibber or Mountain Trail Hotel at Manali. Once again a thank you very much and of course hope to travel with you guys once again. As JRR Tolkien says... Home is behind, The world ahead; And there are many paths to tread…
